Gnarl is a band created for the purpose of exploring the gnarlier sounds of improvised music. At the heart of the music is also a journey of embracing the beauty of imperfection. The band encompasses elements of genres like jazz, free jazz, nu-jazz, jazz rock and beat music and is influenced by musicians such as Brad Mehldau, Mark Guiliana and Wayne Shorter.
